Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, known for his flamboyant designs on the 90s show Changing Rooms, recently joked about suffering from “Changing Rooms PTSD.” The interior designer, now 60 years old, admitted that he is too old to be building furniture in people’s front gardens like he used to do on the show.

During a segment on This Morning, fellow Changing Rooms star Linda Barker was giving a viewer’s front room a makeover in just two hours. Llewelyn-Bowen, sitting comfortably on the studio sofa, watched as Barker and a team of volunteers worked on the transformation. He humorously remarked that building flatpack furniture in someone’s front garden was his worst nightmare and something he no longer does.

Llewelyn-Bowen was on the show to promote his new series, Outrageous Homes, where he visits homes with eccentric and themed decor. Reflecting on his own home, he mentioned that after years of television, he now realizes that his house looks tame compared to the outrageous homes he visits for the show.

In addition to Llewelyn-Bowen’s segment, actress Jill Halfpenny also appeared on This Morning to discuss her book on grief. She shared her personal experience of losing her partner to a sudden heart attack and how it led her to finally confront the grief of losing her father at a young age. Halfpenny emphasized the importance of talking about one’s feelings and allowing oneself to grieve, even if it’s difficult.

Overall, This Morning provided viewers with a mix of lighthearted banter from Llewelyn-Bowen and insightful reflections on grief from Halfpenny. The show continues to offer a variety of topics and guests for its audience to engage with on weekday mornings.
