Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams is now open to being traded, and there is no shortage of interest in him across the league. However, Adams has a particular team in mind that he would like to join – the New York Jets, where he could reunite with his former teammate Aaron Rodgers.
While Adams has expressed his desire to be traded to the Jets, he has not made any demands. According to NFL Media, other teams like the New Orleans Saints, Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys, and San Francisco 49ers have shown interest in Adams or are potential destinations that he would consider.
The Raiders, on the other hand, are looking to get fair value in return for Adams and are reportedly seeking at least a second-round pick in exchange for the talented wide receiver. They are not willing to just give him away to the highest bidder.
Reuniting with Aaron Rodgers is undoubtedly appealing to Adams. During their time together with the Green Bay Packers, the duo had great success, with Rodgers winning three MVP awards and making seven Pro Bowl appearances, while Adams led the league in receiving touchdowns twice.
On the other hand, the Jets have struggled this season, with Rodgers suffering an injury in the season opener and the team posting a 2-2 record. Adding a player of Adams’ caliber to their roster could help bolster their offense and potentially elevate them to meet their high expectations.
The Jets are still in search of their identity on offense, and a reliable WR1 like Adams could provide the spark they need to turn things around. While nothing is set in stone yet, the possibility of Adams joining the Jets and reuniting with Rodgers is certainly an exciting prospect for both players and fans alike.
