The Cincinnati Bengals made a big move on Friday by signing Hakeem Butler, who was named the 2024 UFL Offensive Player of the Year and previously played for the St. Louis Battlehawks. Butler had an impressive season with the Battlehawks, leading the UFL in receiving yards, yards per catch, and finishing with multiple receiving scores and all-purpose yards.

Not only did Butler have two 100-yard receiving games, but he also had two of the league’s top three receiving performances during the season. His skills on the field were evident in his impressive stats and game-changing plays, including an 80-yard touchdown.

Before joining the Bengals, Butler had a successful college career at Iowa State and was a fourth-round pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2019. He has also had stints with the Carolina Panthers, Philadelphia Eagles, Canadian Football League, XFL, and most recently, the Pittsburgh Steelers.

This signing comes at a crucial time for the Bengals, especially with star wideout Ja’Marr Chase missing practice for the second day in a row. Butler’s experience and talent will be valuable additions to the team as they prepare for the upcoming season.
