Alright, so like, there’s this whole thing going on with the New York Knicks and their starting lineup. Not really sure why this matters, but apparently, their starting five has been getting major playing time, and it’s not really working out. The group of Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby, and Karl-Anthony Towns have been on the court for a total of 940 minutes during the regular season – that’s a lot of court time, folks. And get this, only two other lineups have played even half as many minutes as these guys. It’s like a broken record with Tom Thibodeau, the Knicks coach. He’s been around for a while, and he just can’t seem to let go of his starting five.

So, like, Thibodeau’s obsession with his best players might end up costing him a trip to the NBA Finals. I mean, the Knicks are throwing out all these different lineups during the playoffs, and most of them are actually working pretty well. But guess which lineup is tanking big time? Yep, you guessed it – the starters. In the postseason, they’ve played a whopping 308 minutes and been outscored by 50 points. Like, that’s statistically impossible or something. The last time a lineup did this bad was back in 2020, and that was in a whole different bubble. So, you know it’s bad when historical data is working against you.

I’m not really sure why Thibodeau keeps going back to the same starting five when they clearly aren’t cutting it. It’s like they’re stuck in a rut, and no matter what he tries, they just can’t seem to get it together. The Knicks have had some wins with a different lineup, but he keeps reverting back to the same old crew. It’s like he’s afraid to switch things up, even when it’s obvious that a change is needed. Maybe it’s just me, but it seems pretty clear that a shake-up is long overdue for the Knicks if they want any shot at salvaging this series.
