Mitchell Hooper emerged victorious as the Strongman Classic winner after an incredible performance in London. After securing top three finishes in the Strongman Classic in 2022 and 2023, Hooper finally clinched the title this year with a historic showing.

The competition kicked off with Hooper setting a world record in the axle press by lifting an impressive 218kg. His dominance in this event was evident as the second and third-place finishers, Tom Stoltman and Pavlo Kordiyaka, fell short with lifts of 195kg each. This set the stage for an exciting competition ahead.

In the 360kg axle deadlift event, Hooper continued his stellar performance by completing eight reps, narrowly edging out Matthew Ragg for the top spot. His eight reps also tied the existing world record for the axle deadlift, showcasing his strength and determination.

While Kordiyaka managed to break his own world record in the Conan’s Wheel event with a run of 1035 degrees, Hooper closely followed with an impressive 836 degrees. Despite finishing behind Kordiyaka in this event, Hooper quickly bounced back by setting a world record in the wrecking ball hold, gripping the 267kg sphere for an astounding 118.72 seconds.

Although Hooper faced challenges in the castle stones event, finishing 11th overall, his strong performances in the other events secured his victory in the Strongman Classic. With a total of 49 points, Hooper claimed the top spot, followed closely by Stoltman with 47 points and Kordiyaka in third place.

This year has been remarkable for Hooper, as he previously won the 2024 Arnold Strongman Classic, the Arnold Pro Strongman World Series, and finished as the runner-up in the World’s Strongest Man competition. His consistent success and dedication to the sport have solidified his reputation as a powerhouse in the strongman community.

Overall, Hooper’s triumph at the Strongman Classic 2024 is a testament to his skill, strength, and unwavering commitment to excellence in the sport. As he continues to push boundaries and set new records, fans can look forward to witnessing more incredible feats from this talented athlete in the future.
