After more than ten years, a college football video game is returning this summer. EA Sports is set to release “College Football 25” in July, making it the first college football video game from the company since 2013. The previous version, “NCAA Football,” was put on hold due to legal issues regarding compensation for players’ name, image, and likeness (NIL). However, with student-athletes now allowed to seek compensation, EA Sports has been able to bring back the game.

EA has been teasing fans with rankings and ratings for the upcoming game. They have released lists of the toughest stadiums to play in, the best offenses, the best defenses, and the highest-rated teams. The game will feature all 134 FBS teams, with over 12,800 players accepting offers to appear in the game.

The cover of “College Football 25” will feature current college football stars like Texas QB Quinn Ewers, Colorado’s Travis Hunter, and Michigan’s Donovan Edwards. The game will also include popular game modes like Dynasty Mode and Road to Glory, as well as new features like the transfer portal.

One exciting aspect of the game is the inclusion of the College Football Playoff, with all 12 teams set to be playable. Additionally, iconic stadium traditions like Penn State’s “Zombie Nation” and Iowa’s wave will be featured. However, some awards like the Heisman Trophy will be included, while others, such as the Davey O’Brien Award, will not.

In terms of gameplay, “College Football 25” will introduce new features like the Wear and Tear system, player abilities, and home-field advantage. The game aims to capture the unique atmosphere and excitement of college football, with a wide range of playing styles reflecting all 134 FBS teams.

With a release date of July 19, “College Football 25” will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Fans can pre-order the game and look forward to experiencing the thrill of college football on their consoles once again.
