The Cache County Sheriff’s Office initiated a search after receiving reports that a young man who was seen diving from cliffs at the reservoir had not resurfaced. Sadly, his body was recovered by a dive team later in the evening.
The sheriff’s office stated that their investigation indicates that this was a tragic accident, as multiple witnesses provided consistent information about the incident. Seldon had recently joined the Utah State football program after transferring from New Mexico State, where he had played for two seasons under Nate Dreiling, who is currently serving as Utah State’s interim head coach and defensive coordinator. Prior to his time at New Mexico State, Seldon had spent two seasons at Michigan.
