Ortiz expressed his joy at seeing the Yankees lose, saying it brought him happiness. Although he can’t openly show his dislike for the Yankees due to his friendship with Juan Soto, his neighbor in New York, Ortiz still prefers a Yankees loss as an appetizer before enjoying Soto’s mother’s home-cooked meals.
The Yankees are currently trailing the Orioles by one game in the American League East with a record of 58-40. Despite the rivalry and Ortiz’s enjoyment of their losses, the Yankees will look to bounce back after the All-Star break and regain their momentum in the league standings.
