Former Denver Broncos star and Pro Football Hall of Famer, Terrell Davis, recently took to social media to call for an investigation into an alleged incident of mistreatment during a United Airlines flight. According to Davis, he was wrongfully handcuffed and removed from the flight after his son politely asked for a cup of ice during in-flight beverage service.
The situation escalated when Davis claims the flight attendant either did not hear or ignored his son’s request, prompting Davis to lightly tap the attendant’s arm to get his attention. This action allegedly led the flight attendant to shout, “Don’t hit me!” causing a scene that surprised both Davis and nearby passengers.
Upon landing, Davis stated that all passengers were asked to remain seated while six FBI and law enforcement officers boarded the plane and handcuffed him without explanation. It was later determined during questioning that the flight attendant’s accusations were inaccurate, leading the agents to apologize and offer support to Davis and his family. However, Davis expressed his disappointment in United Airlines for not reaching out to him following the incident.
As a response, Davis announced that his legal team would be contacting the airline to push for a thorough investigation into the flight attendant’s actions. Despite United Airlines not providing an immediate comment on the matter, Davis remains determined to seek justice for the harm caused to him and his family.
Terrell Davis, who played his entire NFL career with the Denver Broncos and is a two-time Super Bowl champion, is known for his outstanding contributions to the sport. Leading the league in rushing yards in 1997 and 1998, Davis was also named league MVP in 1998. His induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017 solidified his legacy as one of the greatest running backs in NFL history.
