Jon Jones, the UFC heavyweight champion, has recently come to an agreement to attend anger management classes in order to resolve two misdemeanor charges related to a drug test incident at his home in New Mexico. The charges of assault and interference with communication will be dropped if Jones successfully completes the anger management classes and abides by all laws for the next 90 days.

Jones had initially pleaded not guilty to the charges, which arose when a woman conducting a drug test at his home accused him of being hostile. Jones, known as one of the top MMA fighters, had expressed shock at the allegations and attributed his behavior to frustration with what he perceived as unprofessionalism on the part of the tester.

Despite these legal issues, Jones is set to face Stipe Miocic in UFC 309 at Madison Square Garden on November 16th. This fight was originally scheduled to take place last year but was delayed due to a pectoral injury suffered by Jones.

This is not the first time Jones has faced controversy in his career. In 2016, he was suspended for a failed drug test and had a previous victory overturned due to another positive test in 2017. Jones has maintained that under revised standards, the tests would have been considered negative.

The incident at his home earlier this year involved a report filed by a woman from Drug Free Sport International, who claimed that Jones had threatened her during the drug test. Jones, however, provided video evidence showing what appeared to be a cordial interaction between himself and the testers, with no signs of fear or discomfort.

Despite these legal challenges, Jones remains a dominant force in the MMA world, holding multiple titles and records in different weight classes. His upcoming fight with Miocic is highly anticipated by fans and experts alike, as it promises to be a showdown between two of the sport’s most talented fighters.
